The Danson philosophy is KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid! Breed to the standard. It was constructed for a reason. Read it - know it - abide by it. Purchase the best when getting started, and always breed to the best you can find. Do research. Read as much as you can, and ask a lot of questions.
Danson doesn't show their Bostons so ribbons and trophies can collect dust on walls and shelves. Showing is an opportunity to learn from other breeders and contribute - in the continuing quest to better the breed.
Showing is also an opportunity to educate the general public. It is only through education that some day puppy mills will be eradicated! Take every opportunity to teach.
Danson celebrates their wins in the show ring, but also acknowledges fine specimens from other breeders, and celebrates with others when their dogs are recognized. Dog showing is a "sport." So show good sportsmanship!
Finally, Danson strives to produce Boston Terriers that are recognized for both their winning conformation and winning disposition, at home in the ring, on the sofa, and in the hearts of their owners.
